Play your own game

Already have a game file — a homebrew ROM, a backup of a cartridge you own, a freeware classic? Load it here and play. We provide the emulator; you provide the game.

1 · Pick the system 2 · Choose your game file

Private by design: your file is read locally by your browser and handed straight to the emulator running on this page. It is never uploaded — there is no server to upload it to. Close the tab and it’s gone.

House rules

Only play files you have the right to use — your own cartridge backups, homebrew, and freeware. Play the Classics hosts the emulator only; what you load into it on your own machine is your call and your responsibility. Looking for games that are free for everyone? The library is full of them, each with its source and license spelled out.
